I'll be checking this one out for sure. Over the next few years I feel that Ryan Reynolds will continue to develop into a heck of an actor, comedic and otherwise. I'm a huge fan of Emily Mortimer, and holy crap...Sarah Chalke in the trailer!

And Sarah Chalke! I saw you mention her and I kept a close eye on when she'd show up, and I almost gave up till the very end!

Isn't that the film where Jim Carey realizes he does love his son and then chases an airplane down on a gas powered staircase? But I get the point your making... when I (hesitantly) first saw Anchorman I was expecting a lame comedy, but got an absurd and sometimes dark little gem.
I didn't listen to the trailer... just watched it without audio... isn't this kinda the butterfly effect sans Ashton and time travel?

I disagree completely. I'm a big Reynolds fan. I always knew he'd turn into a really good actor. And he's starting to show it (rent The Nines) and hopefully he'll get some better roles now. I've always thought he's shined in movies, but the movies themselves were kinda weak, so he didn't get the recognition he deserved.
And now on to the trailer. I've always had a crush on Sarah Chalke and after seeing this trailer, I'm completely in love.
The Yahoo page says this is coming out March 14, 2008, I haven't seen anything else about a release date. Can anybody confirm?

I remember first seeing Reynolds on Nickelodeon, on a show called "Fifteen" aka "Hillside" in the very early 90s. He played a good kid who all of a sudden becomes a bully (I don't remember why).

check out his acting at about 4 min 45 sec.

If Sarah Chalke came along and told me to leave my wife and son to go away with her, I would in a millisecond.
This looks like it could be pretty good.

Just saw it and I LOVED IT. It has become one of my favorite movies of all time. Ryan Reynolds was spectacular, totally mind-blowing. I've loved him since Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place.

I really like Ryan Reynolds, but this movie doesn't really allow for him to be the regular good guy that most movies have him play (like the better Definitely, Maybe). Overall, I thought that it was a pretty good movie, but there were definitely some plot holes.

IMHO, it was a great movie. One of those with funny moments, a bit of hard truth, and some really great characters. It's one of those movies, that really isn't formulaic, which makes it stand out. I've given up buying SD-DVD's due to HD and Blu-Ray, but since this is available on neither, I may have to make an exception. Great little flick. If you like Ryan, check out "Definitely, Maybe," also due on DVD soon. More of a Rom-Com, but still less predictable than most.
