Depp's impressed me. Bale is phenomenal. DiCaprio...up and coming. He's getting better.

Eh..ya Cusak for sure.

Bale for sure.. Another guy I'm keeping an eye on is Ben Foster. He impresses me more and more.
|
I like Russell Crowe. Brad Pitt is also a favorite of mine.

Ryan Gosling is good... he reminds me of a latter day Jimmy Stewart. |
i love all the choices and they are all great in their ways, but Johnny Depp to me optimizes the versatility and truly transforming actors actor. He can seemingly take on any role and do it with such ease. He brings such verve and newness to every role that he really does get lost in the role.

Many talented actors, but I'll say Kevin Spacey.

I think Johnny Depp is the best actor regardless of age so he's my number 1. Always brings in a great performance.
Honorable mention to (no specific order): Dicaprio Christian Bale Ed Norton Matt Damon- Although he's usually his best in lighter roles |

Crowe

Someone not yet mentioned, Sam Rockwell rocks!
|
Some good names here, but I don't think anyone can touch Johnny Depp's versatility.
|
1. Bale
2. Depp 3. Crowe 4. DiCaprio 5. Norton |
Why isn't Rob Schneider on this list? He's was wonderfully persuasive as the delivery guy in "Big Daddy," and served as the emotional center of that movie. He gave an awe-inspiring naturalistic performance as the Cajun guy in "Waterboy," immortalizing the phrase "You can do it," which tops my list of the greatest lines in cinema, edging out "You had me at 'hello.'"
In "Deuce Bigelow," he carefully navigated the line between the seedy nature of the premise and the sweet nature of the character, delighting audiences with the contrast, a feat most actors would not be up to. I, for one, am eagerly anticipating Schneider's next transformation. |
Under 50, over 50...doesn't matter. Russell Crowe is our best living actor.
|
Sean Penn
|
By Far Ryan Gosling.
|
First name I thought of...
Philip Seymour Hoffman. I'm glad to see others agree. |
