Help me id these movies
There was this Russian Biological Warfare documentary I saw in high school, All I remember was one part where they were talking about a guy who was infected by accident and they watched him liquefy and collected him for further research (Ebola?).
And a movie from when I was younger a film about dinosaurs where a man with a mustache slowly turns into a little T-Rex |
I'm no help. I don't know what the Russian one was, but I'd LOVE to see it!!

Re: Help me id these movies
Were these movies that were actually released in theaters or on video?

Re: Help me id these movies
I doubt either movie premiered theatrically, the dinosaur one was a kids film and the docu was something I watched in highschool on VHS (in retrospect it could have been recorded off tv).

Re: Help me id these movies
I'll take a look around if you can give us some info on approximate production dates (decade?).

Re: Help me id these movies
Oh, I wasn't able to find a likely candidate for the other film, but I did discover that Nikolai Ustinov was a Soviet scientist famous for working with - and dying from - the Marburg virus. And yes, they did study his body after death. That's likely the guy you remember from the documentary. Maybe that tidbit of information will help narrow things down a little.
The best I can come up with so far is a Frontline ep called Plague War that aired in 1998. I have no idea how old you are, so I have no idea when you went to high school and whether this would have been during that time. |
