Top 10 Movie Weapons

The Telegraph did a story on the top 10 movie weapons.

Top 10 Favorite Movie Weapons

1. Lightsaber (Star Wars)

2. .44 Magnum (Dirty Harry)

3. Bullwhip (Indiana Jones)

4. Samurai sword (Kill Bill)

5. Chainsaw (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre)

6. Golden Gun (James Bond - The Man With The Golden Gun)

7. Bow and arrow (Robin Hood)

8. Machine gun (Scarface)

9. The Death Star (Star Wars)

10. Bowler hat (James Bond - Goldfinger)

I would replace the Kill Bill sword with something more iconic like Bruce Lee's nunchucks in Enter the Dragon.

I would replace the "machine gun" with minigun, i.e. Predator or Terminator 2.

There is a top ten list for everything. Machine guns and samari swords are kind of generic items since they are in so many movies.

The Death Star would be #1 for me, I guess. Not something I'd really put much thought into.

Bat-a-rang or whatever the Batman boomerang is called should be on the list.

I'm disappointed.

Why no mention of the Walther PPK pistol used by James Bond in both the movies and novels?

This is a pretty generic list. I was hoping for something a little more specific by reading the thread title. Why not just the top 10 movie beverages while you're at it (water, juice, cola, whiskey....YAWN!).

Because that one is hard to see because of the muzzle flash, the minigun from T2:

That gun in the Jackal looked like it could do some damage.

For sheer silliness.

How many movies are named after the weapon?
