Just noticed this Myspace page for Heath Ledger:

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...iendid=8040021

It hasn't been updated since 1/22/2005.

Exactly 3 years ago today!!!

So sad to see anyone that young die. I will never forget the advice that Laurence Olivier gave Ben Kingsley when he heard that Kingsley actually fasted when he was portraying Gandhi(paraphrasing): "My boy, why don't you try acting, it is so much easier."

Was Olivier playing Gandhi's dentist?

R.I.P. Heath Ledger.

Farewell, Heath; you were a pretty bad actor, and most of your movie choices were shitty, but you were starting to show potential in both I'm Not There and what's been shown so far of The Dark Knight.

God, I'd hate to be Michelle Williams right now; not only will photographers be staked out at her apartment and/or airports just waiting to get an exclusive photo, she also has to explain to their daughter that their father is never coming back.

Saying that congress should investigate drug use in the arts is fucking insane. The reason that congress is investigating MLB, professional wrestling, and other sports is because the drug use enhances the user's performance. The biggest victim of drugs in sports is the athlete who is on the cusp of being able to play professionally. They have a choice: Either take drugs and get to play or refrain from engaging in illegal activities and lose their spots to people with less of an ethical concern. There are only so many roster spots on a sports team and those who aren't gifted enough won't make the cut without sacrificing their bodies and ethics. Making sure that "Role Models" aren't affected is third or fourth on the list of objectives.

Now to get off my moral high ground for a moment. I've never seen a Heath Ledger movie. I'm sorry that anyone close to him is going through pain but my primary concern was that filming on TDK was complete. Otherwise I'd be upset all day ever day over the thousands of needless deaths that occur. If that makes me cold or careless so be it.

I considered this idea too. Given the number of people that would need to be on board to make that happen, I'm not counting on it. This saddens me.

Because He has already been mentioned a few times already and because they both died to young ( at 28). I'll just leave a quote that Brandon Lee gave in an interview just before he died, it moved me then and still brings tears to my eyes.

"Because we do not know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. And yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you cannot conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four, or five times more? Perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless..."

I hope Heath is at peace and his daughter will grow up knowing how much he loved her regardless of what we find out about his cause of death..

Really really shocked and saddened to hear about this, I was really stoked after seeing the trailer for The Dark Knight. This definitely puts a damper on things.

Ledger joins a long list of actors who died way before their prime.

Not that I know jack, but it's easier for me to believe overdose (whether street drugs, prescription or over-the-counter) than suicide. It's hard to imagine he'd off himself only a couple of days into his 2nd Terry Gilliam film and with The Dark Knight just around the corner. While he did get a little wilder after his breakup, he was always fairly disciplined and obsessive about his film work.

This photo's only 2 days old, from Sunday, on set with the Gilliam production.

His first movie was Clowning Around, his last movie featured him as The Joker, and this is what he was wearing for his last photo. Syncronicity.

TMZ says he had Pneumonia. My dad just had that, and they do give you prescription sleeping meds and a narcotic cough suppressant. Maybe a reaction in his system?

This is really sad. I loved Heath in Brokeback and was looking forward to seeing him in other roles. I guess we shouldn't forget stinkers like The Order and Candy, but still.... Ennis Del Mar is one of the most well played characters I've ever seen in a movie.

Has anyone seen this?

Some kind of joke?

At any rate, RIP Heath. I think I'll go put in Brokeback and cry a little. heh.

Maybe Heath will be buried in Australia, where his family still lives. Hopefully, that way, they can avoid the WBC picket crap.

It always happens to the ones you never suspect. I suppose more careless celebrities like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan will live to be 100 now just out of spite. I think Heath had several roles I enjoyed. I think you could see that he was often better than the roles he had to play or the films overall. He certainly was far away from his peak. I think in years to come people might come to look at him as we do James Dean now.

If this country were as evil as those Westboro Baptist dirtbags say it is, this 'church' would've been razed to the ground and these people deported a long time ago.

Let me just comment on that...

If someone/anyone were to protest or picket the funeral of someone I loved, I would kill them, plain and simple. That's total bullshit snd horribly disrespectful. Very "Christian" of them, eh?

I still don't understand why the "Christians" are so upset about Brokeback Mountain, it's a work of fiction, just like the Bible.
