wondering if anyone could give a specific name for the cannon blast sound heard in various spaghtetti westerns. Anyone have any reccomendation for a cd containing these f/x.

Didn't they record that sound of a gun being shot into a metallic garbage can?

I think Peckinpah or someone in America devised that idea.

As for a CD, I'd try an Ennio Morricone soundtrack cd.

I have a number of Morricone's Spaghetti Western scores, and it's just the music without any of the sound effects (even though, in the movies, the themes usually have sounds effects in them, it's not the same on the albums).
