You mean the anti-aircraft cannon (FlaK 30) that blew chunks of paratroopers all over the tank? Because that wasn't a gatling gun.

I'm pretty sure ED-209 didn't have Gatling guns in RoboCop, but I'll have to go back and check.

I was thinking of the opening scene when they were storming the beach. I thought it was a gatling gun.

Those were MG42 machine guns and they continued to appear or influence in movies like Aliens, Black Hawk Down and The Red Spectacles.
