"Fool's Gold" (Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey)
Saw this trailer before "Sweeney Todd", and man oh man does it look terrible. It felt like "The Deep" meets "Romancing the Stone". Which probably could have been a good movie in the right hands, and better cast. Has McConaughey sold his soul to the devil? Making Lifetime fluff like this? And is it in his contract that he has to appear shirtless at least once in each film? We get it. You've got a great body.

I saw a lot of crappy trailers before sweeney todd. Did they just roll the dice on what previews they would show in front of it? I know it's a musical, but by golly, it was a violent one and all that was attached was romantic comedies.

Ironic, isn't it? I've read and heard in real life that it's everyone leaning back from him.

With those two playing the leads you know this will be just awful. How Kate Hudson has a career is beyond me. I guess it pays to have a famous mother opening a few doors. She has zero talent. MM chooses poor roles all the time, so that's nothing new.

I too saw tons of shit in front of Sweeney Todd (this being one of the trailers).
I was bored by the first 20 seconds of this trailer so i started looking around the theater hoping to find something more interesting than this trailer. The walls and the lights were more interesting and less offensive than this trailer so i focused on them.

Yes, what exactly was up with the trailers before Sweeney Todd? Not a one I saw was even remotely similar in tone (forget about it being a musical even) and most were PG-13...I was expecting The Dark Knight quality trailers.
I was "lucky" to see a trailer for Over Her Dead Body starring heavyweights Paul Rudd and Eva Longoria-Parker... Seriously, if Paul Rudd ever shied away from his doofy asshat persona in every role I'd die of shock.

I have to swim (powerfully) against the current here and say that I thought this trailer looked great and I'm very much anticipating this movie. In my mind, this is a sequel/baby of Sahara and Into the Blue. If this leads to more adventure romantic comedies, then so be it. I liked Romancing the Stone and Jewel of the Nile.
Plus, it's by the director of Hitch. You say you don't like the movie, and when I come home with it, you mock me. But a few days later I hear you downstairs, watching the DVD, laughing. Don't lie. You want to see this movie too.

I am in complete agreement here. Looks good to me...

I'm loving the bad reviews (so far 6% on RT). My favorite at this time:
"It's like Raiders of the Lost Ark, only for retards".
