I like some of them. 20th CF always gets me going, reminds me of SW. The other one I really dig is the Twisted Pictures logo w/ the barb wire. Thats just awesome.

I like the ones for Lions Gate and Twisted Pictures:

I thought South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut made nice use of the Paramount mountain.

I always like to guess what the animated logo is going to be. Most of the time, I'll know what it is right away, but sometimes I don't get it right.

Is this real or my friend's imagination?

No, I can't say I'm bothered by them, sometimes I like to see them sometimes, like a Bruckheimer film when I didn't know his production company was involved. At least I know it will have some action (and spinning camera work!)

Does anyone else get annoyed by this? I appreciated Michael Mann's last two movies for their brief approach. Collateral only had the Dreamworks logo and Miami Vice the Universal logo - and neither one even had the accompanying audio.

Last night, on National Treasure: The Book of Secrets, the last logo is Bruckheimer's tree/road/lightening logo, but it transitioned into a real tree on the side of a real road with Civil War soldiers walking to town.
Thought that was cool.

the disney opening for Enchanted was really creative
the dreamworks opening for the Ring was also cool
none of these really bother me, in fact i'd probably more bothered by not seeing them.
but I remember the beginning to Saw IV being especially long and not needed.

i almost forgot about this classic one:
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YCrmiEn7syk&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YCrmiEn7syk&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
that may have been the first movie to alter the studio logo

Older movies catch me off guard, occasionally, when the entire credits are run through before the movie starts.
