Appleseed Ex Machina!!!
 

The sequel to the CGI/cel shaded version of Appleseed aired at the Jules Verne Adventures Film Festival in L.A. yesterday. I was tempted to get a plane ticket but just cannot afford it. The DVD is scheduled for early March, but Deep Discount.com lists the release as full screen. :(

Dear god, I hope they're wrong about that. Any news on this flick seeing screen time in Northern California?

I know some people didn't dig the first one, but I still love the shit out of it.

I really dug Appleseed. I'm definitely interested in catching a sequel.

I caught some parts of Appleseed on cable (can't remember which one- maybe Encore Action??). It has pretty unique CGI design, unlikely Pixar design. I would have to watch whole thing before the sequel one.

I'm hoping this is good. The first was a highly enjoyable feature. I'm just glad this will be a WB release so that we wont have a repeat of the Geneon debacle.

Obligatory complaint: Too bad the HD DVD is a combo. :(

I loved the first one. I thought the style of the 1st one was gorgeous! What's the deal with this new one? Is it all CGI? I'm not sure i like what i see in that promo.
