(1) The Cowboys (1973) - One character dies in a manner and at a time in the story you don't expect. The means of their end is also a surprise.
(2) Psycho (1960) - I had th good fortune to see this film 'cold' (not on original release, TV broadcast many years later) and the death of one major character was one of the big surprises I have had watching a film. |
