I've been in love with Amy Adams for a while now and this movie only made that love deeper. Just a great, fun flick that anyone can enjoy. The songs were catchy as hell, the effects were decent and I had a blast. One of the most satisfying movies in a while. This one should do huge business for the next few WEEKS.

I just saw this tonight, it was a fantastic surprise, because all I knew was that it was a half animated, half live action Disney flick, and that sounded... done already. It was pretty awesome!
Anubis - you liked her in the ball gown? I thought her first homemade dress was the best, unless you're not counting the towel gag!

Entertaining twist on the fairy tale movie.
And I noticed during the end credits that three Disney princesses had cameos in the film - Jodi Benson (The Little Mermaid), Paige O'Hara (Beauty and the Beast), and Judy Kuhn (Pocahontas).

I was enchanted by this film from the get-go. Amy Adams does a fab turn as Giselle, as do all of the supporting cast (except for Susan Sarandon, who was a mild disappointment as the stepmother). The humor and pacing was spot-on, and loved Adam's singing and the nice musical number in the park. Pip the chipmonk steals every scene he's in, just delightfully funny. This film will play well to audiences of all ages, and should have some good legs over the holiday season.
I give it 3.5 stars, or a grade of B+.

I thought the movie was awesome. Amy Adams deserves an OScar nom for a part that could be incredibly goofy done poorly, but she is perfect and shows, suprisingly, a ton of range in the role.

Saw this in the afternoon based on reviews here... and I thought it was good, but nothing special. Some cute moments and laughs, and I dug the animated critters in the beginning, but once they got in the real world I started losing interest. I didn't really care for Amy Adams as everyone else did... but I think characters that have a role where they have to act dumb because they're out of place always end up annoying me.

I have to admit I really enjoyed this... although some scenes and characterization felt missing - I'd be curious to see if some of the cutting room floor scenes get included for the DVD edition.
Love the use of the Disney logo and aspect ratio change.

Obviously this kind of film is silly and more slapstick, but for whatever reason it didn't entirely click with me. It wasn't bad, but for someone to mention an Oscar nod... i don't know. Of course, i feel the same way with little kids in movies

Caught a showing last night and I came away really liking the movie. Amy Adams was just awesome and the movie was paced perfectly. What's his face from Gray's Anatomy plays his part really well....almost as if he were to have been woken up from a love coma.
Oscar nod indeed for Amy

Loved it. Absolutely love it. Amy Adams in the ball is probably the most beautiful character I've seen in recent years. And it's wonderful how she just threw herself at the role and embraced it. Same with James Marsden. I loved the music, but then again it's Alan Menken and I haven't heard anything from him that I didn't at least like. Probably the most enjoyable time I've had in the theater for the year, including all the summer blockbuster crap.
