Not a bad little list. Some are too high for my liking, but the list isn't as goofy as a lot that come from EW.

I assume they only wanted one choice per franchise, (and if that is the case I am fine with Sean Connery) but I would have added Daniel Craig.

Not a bad list, but I'd never ever place Keanu Reeves before Ah-nuld.

Could anyone tell me what picture of Robocop that is from..it doesn't look like a setting from the original Robocop movie...I try to block Robo 2 out of my head and I never saw Robo 3.

Thx

You're a good man for not ever seeing "Robocop 3". Keep it that way.

Gotta love how #17 is Tom Cruise from MI III instead of the first one. It gives the reason as "MI 1's plot was an incomprehensible mess." Ummm, no it wasn't. But maybe that's why I don't like the other two - because I rather not have my plots spoon fed to me.

Actually I thought the third one was the best followed by 1 and then two. I like how they didn't reveal what the bad guy was after, similar to Ronin.

Also the action pieces in the third one were pretty impressive, especially the bridge/freeway scene.

I thought MI:3 was okay, but I certainly wouldn't put Tom Cruise on this list.

Schwarzenegger is too low, but overall not a bad list.

Still, no Mel Gibson from Lethal Weapon? That was the first who came to mind of people missing.

I agree that there was nothing wrong with MI 1's plot...it was what I expected from a *SPY* movie.

Sorry Mr. Bond..your gadgets, witty lines, and constantly being captured by villains can't cover up that you generally did minimal amounts of spying.

But I still like Bond movies.

Eastwood & Bronson are indeed glaring omissions.

No Steve McQueen?

I would have expected at least someone from any of the 6 star wars movies. Also would have been cool to see D.Day Lewis from Last of the Mohicans on there somewhere. Overall a surprisingly good list.

EW more or less took its "Best Action Movie" list from last year, picked the lead characters and did this list. Die Hard was #1 on their best Action Movie list last year, so McClaine topping this list is no shock.

In fact, the top 5 are EXACTLY the same. Doesn't look like a whole lot of effort went into this new list.

No Bronson? Then this list is shit.

On a postivie note, nice to see them choosing the best films a character was in, and not just the original as usual.

William Holden?!!!
Surprised they left off RIN TIN TIN.
How can James Bond not be in the top 3 with all those movies that the whole world loves.
I'm sure if this was A.F.I.'s list they would have had Jodie Foster on it.

They seemed to have disqualified comic book/fantasy films for the most part, which is probably why Star Wars was left out. Then again, several of them have fantasy elements so I don't know.
