Wow, good number and really low drop for Game Plan. I'm surprised that Heartbreak Kid didn't do at little better, it was sold out at the huge theater I was at during the 10:30 show on Friday.

No other kids' flick in town, so no surprises there. As mediocre as The Game Plan is, I truly hope people see how genuinely charismatic and talented The Rock is as a leading man, and cast him accordingly.

I hope he doesn't get stuck in a rut like Cuba Gooding Jr. with these types of flicks.

Definitely caused by families and by kids weekend movie going.
If you look at the previous Monday-Thursday weekDAYS, The Kingdom was #1 over The Game Plan all 4 days.
And Heartbreak Kid actually was #1 over Game Plan on Friday.
But Saturday and Sunday, The Game Plan greatly outdrew everything by enough to be #1 for the overall weekend.

As lame as The Game Plan looks, I'm glad to see Dwayne doing good. I hope this film only serves to get him larger roles in action films. That's seriously where this guy belongs. He is incredibly likeable, affable and charismatic on screen and that always translates into big $, with the right vehicle of course.

I just got back from seeing The Game Plan, and we really liked it..my kids really enjoyed it, and I admit it was better than I had anticipated. Johnson did a great job, and can really carry off the lead character. The other roles were well cast too. Isn't it supposed to be difficult to work with kids and animals? LOL, Johnson did great, and I hope he does more family movies!
