I was hoping this would be saying that the success of "It" gave the studio more confidence in R rated horror and they decided to give it a greenlight, or at least consider doing such.

Sadly, It's budget was only 35 million. I doubt it will do anything for $100 million + horror film.

I was wondering how "It" could be done so cheap but then realized that they had no big name salaries to pay. That can make a difference. ATMOM looks like it could cost north $100 million with no major stars attached.

I feel like with how much money Netflix spent on Bright that they could easily finance something like this.
