Joust...the video game...I kid you not...
 

I just read this over at Dark Horizons, and just about fell out of my chair laughing...

"Michael Cerenzie and Christine Peters' CP Prods. have optioned Midway Games 1982 arcade game "Joust" reports Variety.

Though "Joust" has had several sequels, the original game, in which one or two players control a knight on a flying ostrich who combats flying buzzards, is best known.

The company is also developing Midway Games 2005 release "Area 51" as a feature film."


Seriously?! Joust?! What's next, "Frogger: the movie?"

Unless Uwe Boll is directing, I'm not interested.

LOL. Maybe Big Bird will get the staring role.

Well, I don't know about you guys, but if it's at all close to the original video game, I'm there. The idea of seeing grown men in armor on flying ostriches is maybe the best idea ever.

I will be disappointed if the plot is not true to the original game. Level by level.

I want to see them make a movie from that cool Star Wars video game I used to play.

Heck yes. Sounds kickass to me. Keep the sound effects the same too.

How dare they make a movie out of the game joust when another better game would make a kick ass movie:

I do watch that, but I had the game on an old atari emulator, along with the other awful Mystique games.

Defender should have been made into a movie a long time ago.
