I'll go see it, but I honestly don't have high hopes for this. Hector Lavoe's life is an interesting subject for a movie, but the people on the project don't strike me as the right choices. Marc Anthony may be a good salsa singer, but he's got absolutely no acting skills IMO. Same goes for his wife.

I really want this movie to do well and will catch it when it goes to the drive-in*, but the reviews haven't been good.
I personally love Marc Anthony's voice and have been listening to him since the mid '90s, and I like J. Lopez in films, so I'm sure I'll like the movie.
* or DVD if it doesn't make it to the drive-in, I don't go to theaters anymore.

I have been a big fan of Marc Anthony's Spanish albums since the beginning and I think that musically, he has captured the essence of Hector Lavoe as proven through the soundtrack for this movie.
In regards to his acting and this movie, I'll wait until it comes out on DVD to watch it.
