Whats up on James Cameron

Is James Cameron doing a new film? It's been quite a while since his last movie.

I thought he was filming/digging in some "Jesus Tomb" trying to prove Jesus was a Myth or something like that?

Isn't Cameron doing "Avatar" (not the M. Night project based on the cartoon)?

I hear "Titanic 2" is going to be THE movie of the year!

A new James Cameron film has been a few years off for about 10 years now, so there's no telling when he'll actually get a real movie out. I think that Titanic basically killed his film career. Having made the most successful movie of all time has been a blessing and a curse. It's really too bad because now we're left with Michael Bay making our summer blockbusters.

Avatar is filming right now, aiming for an '09 release.

Avatar is coming out May 22, 2009, the same day as Dreamwork's Monsters vs. Aliens. Both are 3D/CGI movies.

hopefully by then there will be more theatres with 3D DLP systems so there won't be a problem in theatre booking/studio preference.
