I seen this film last week, and it was an amazing film. Unfortunately I thought the soundtrack was quite distracting at times. But, I guess you could expect that when you let Radiohead score your film. A definite recommend for the acting all around though.

People said the same thing about the Punch Drunk Love score. But I dug it.

The score, from what I heard from the trailer, is very good. Quite abstract but yet it seems to fit in with the tone of Day-Lewis' delivery. And it's winning alot of critics awards making it currently the frontrunner for the original score Oscar.

I guess you'll need to see the film to hear some of the more jarring parts of the soundtrack that aren't included on Amazons samples. Soundtrack aside, great film.

Goddammit! Why is it that every single movie I really want to see is always a limited release, and every single shitty movie I have no interest in ever seeing is playing right down the street from my house?

Sadly though, I do feel [b]slop's[/i] pain. It's frustrating, especially when you have to create an all-day event to see a few movies...

P.T. Anderson and Daniel Day-Lewis should equal masterpiece by my estimation. Day-Lewis simply floors me with every performance and I simply love the freshness that Anderson brings with his filmmaking. I've yet to see a movie by either that I've not absolutely loved the direction or the masterful acting.
I free up for some cinema tomorrow and this is on my must-see list

Many of the year-end wrap ups and critics' lists I've seen in the past few days have called this the one and only true masterpiece of 2007, which is high praise indeed considering the quality of many other films out there.
And the Oscar now belongs to Day-Lewis.

It's showing in Philly on Saturday night. Unfortunately it's a midnight showing, and I don't think I could watch a 160 minute movie starting at midnight. Hopefully it does go wide on the 18th, because I'm pretty excited to see this one.

Starts on Friday (1/4) here in Phoenix. I don't get to excited about seeing upcoming movies anymore. But I'm pretty anxious for Friday to come.
