Does this sound like the plot of Dirty Work?
Universal Pictures has acquired "The Remarkable Fellows," a pitch for an action buddy comedy that Joe Carnahan will write to direct reports Variety.
Actor/comedian Jason Bateman, who hatched the film's premise, will produce. "The Remarkable Fellows" revolves around two brothers who take over the family business, which involves exacting revenge for clients. Bateman will play one of the brothers. |
Pretty much exactly like the plot. Although, they started up the revenge business. It wasn't a family one.

As long as they don't have dead hookers in the trunk. Never seen so many dead hookers before! :D
|
"Hey, remember in 4th grade when I looked up your sister's dress? I was really looking up my own sister's dress!"
"Yeah! Remember in 11th grade when you had sex with her?" |
"Do you want to come in for some tea and cookies?"
"Oh, no thanks, I have to go...work out. ... ... WHAT?" |

Note to self, sex with blowup doll not as good as advertised. |
Never heard of Dirty Work before. When was it released? Is it available on DVD?
|
Since this is Joe Carnahan does this mean "like Kill Bill" revenge? Or because it's Jason Bateman it's "haha funny" revenge?

Yup, it's out on dvd. |
Dirty Work is an underrated comedy classic.
Same goes for Norm's follow-up Screwed. |
Oh wow. I totally forgot about that movie! I have seen it and loved it. For some screwy reason I was mixing it up with Screwed (another film I really enjoyed) and thought you guys were talking about a totally different movie called Dirty Work.
Yeah, this new Bateman/Carnahan definitely sounds like a Dirty Work remake. |
Amazing movie with Norm MacDonald and Artie Lange......oh and Jack Warden!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah it sounds exactly the same |
The scene at the mobster's house when they were stuck holding the fish was the funniest scene in that movie.

In the early 90s, Andy Lau and Stephen Chow were in a flick about a company that exact revenge for clients too
|
"Note to self: Sam just looked at the screen."
I have no clue why more people don't love Dirty Work. |
Man, anything Joe Carnahan does I'm going to see it, especially if it has Jason Bateman.
Bob Saget talked about Dirty Work originally being R rated on the Tom Green show (on his site), so there's another cut of the film. I'm curious to see it. |
