Saw it tonight. What a great film, best I've seen in a long time. The characters were very well done, you felt like they were real people. I laughed my ass off nearly the entire movie. Rogen has amazing timing, he should be a star. 5/5.

I really enjoyed the movie. I honestly didn't notice that many f-bombs in it, but then I wasn't watching for them (so they flowed with the content).
Very funny, and the crowd seemed to really enjoy it. There were a LOT of married couples at our showing fwiw.
Also it appeared all showings of this and Pirates 3 sold out this evening.

very good movie. funny almost throughout, warm and fuzzy at all the right moments.
not quite as good as "40" . i thought this was a little more mean spirited and i am not a square at all, but i'm also not a big cusser, but this movie i thought was a little gratuitous in that department. a little much for my taste and did bring the level of goodness down a notch. very solid however. Judd Apatow really knows how to write very smart comedies with heart.
and i love that he uses his people over and over. they work and gel so well together. they did so in his short lives series', so why wouldn't they here.
and who saw the
cameo a mile away. i didn't know how or where he would be, but i knew he would be.
and only a few spots made me uncomfortable watching with my mom, namely the love making scene and a couple others. but, she loved it so i was happy!

Better or worse aside, I thought 40 Year Old had a slightly meaner streak, and was a bit more raunchy to boot. That, and it seemed to me that Knocked Up actually had a little less cussing in it than '40' did...

in KU, the 2 couples screamed and cussed at each other in ways, that yes, is very true to life, but genuinely mean spirited to hurt the other. leslie mann and paul rudd going at it was very true life, but sad and vindictive. in an otherwise funny and light movie, some of the scenes were just a little off-putting and seemed out of place. that is the meaness i mean, much more real life wickedness than anything in 40. 40 also remained pretty consistent and light throughout. much more fictitious and harmless in 40, much more real and down to earth in KU.

I completely agree. It's one thing for friends, especially guy friends, to bust each other's balls, but the kind of stuff the couples said to each other in Knocked Up were just cruel.

Just saw it tonight, I thought it was great, easily the best movie of the year so far, what amazed me is how consistently funny it was, literally there were almost no dead moments. And like the OP, I feel like I missed some of the jokes because there was so much laughter in the audience.
I can definitely see some of the criticisms, maybe it was 10 or 15 minutes too long, and some of the Leslie Mann stuff could have been cut out. But it was just great. And I agree with the Kristen Wiig comments, nearly everything she said was hilarious.
My only hope is that Seth Rogen doesn't go the Jon Heder route and take every crap project that is thrown at him to cash in...

I enjoyed it quite a bit as well.
I agree with the comments about Martin Starr, it took me a few minutes to recognize him as well. I loved the scenes where they kept calling him names, the line about them not getting laid because they had the shoebomber with them got one one of the loudest laughs of the night
