how would you even list goofs unless you knew something was intended.

i noticed a few on my second pass, i'm not gonna cover my spoilers cause i don't think this thread requires it

1) El Wrays tow truck was in a bad accident but a few sceens later at the police station it shows up in good shape

2) Cherry and El Wrays jacket. she has it when she is attacked and taken to the hospital, but when she leaves, after the insertion of her new "leg" she is not wearing it. a few scenes later at J.T.'s she is wearing it again.

I noticed a few in Death Proof but the only one i can really remember is Kurt Russell changes lanes from one shot to another during the second race. and did Tarantino say Stuntman Matt when he was asked?

what else did you guys notice?

Snowmaker 04-07-07 07:11 PM

I noticed they completely forgot to show the lap dance. :p

ok. the whole point of Grindhouse is to reproduce the grade z movie experience of the seventies, so any goof should be intentional; therefore, any goof you notice is not a goof....sorry, but I thought it was funny at the time I posted it. (ok, not funny, but mildly amusing)

i don't understand why planet terror had grain and death proof did not.

Perkinsun Dzees 04-07-07 09:56 PM

I noticed a big gaffe in "Planet Terror". Rose McGowan was able to fire the gun attached to her leg without pulling the trigger.

Perhaps Death Proof was the "new release" that was tacked onto the older film that had already been run 1,000 times before.

Maybe a goof: The first time we see Doc Block's wife she at their home has 9 or 10 enormous curlers in her hair, but when we see her later at the hospital her hair looks pretty much straight.

File this under the "is it a goof or is it a tribute to the goofs you'd see in the old movies" section:

In Death Proof, Stuntman Mike's windshield is shattered and completely gone at one point (with no pieces of glass to be seen), then is magically repaired a few minutes later but without the blood streaks on the driver's side.

Death Proof had grain, scratches, print damage, it just seemed to stop for the last act.
