Freddy v Jason 2 ???

Is it in the works ?

I hope so

GoldenJCJ 03-26-07 11:44 PM

But they died at the end. How can there be a sequel?

Bluelitespecial 03-26-07 11:52 PM

its freddy and Jason of course there will be a sequel, the first film together made 80 million, its probably still in development.

Baron Of Hell 03-27-07 12:06 AM

I know there is another Friday the 13th in the works. Not so sure on the rematch. There was some talk about putting those two against Ash but Bruce said he hadn't been approached for such a movie.

Spoiler:
Who is they? Might wanna look closer at the end. Jason was holding Freddy's head, but Freddy was winking at the camera. So, to me...they're both still alive, or enough to make another feud movie.

Mountain Biker 03-27-07 12:34 AM

I see someone forgot to turn on they're sarcasm detector.

mndtrp 03-27-07 02:15 AM

I enjoyed the first one, and would definitely see another.

EdTheRipper 03-27-07 05:55 AM

I'm sure we'll see a sequel eventually.

GuessWho 03-27-07 07:16 AM

Freddy vs Jason vs Spartaaaaaaaa!

DthRdrX 03-27-07 07:19 AM

They have been trying to get a Friday the 13th remake off the ground. I havn't heard anything about any more Nightmare films.

matome 03-27-07 08:19 AM

I'd actually like to see another one of these!

Wildo1966 03-27-07 08:33 AM

I thought I remember reading they were going to do a Freddy/Jason/Pinhead movie??

That was just a rumor. I believe I heard that's been debunked.

i think your sarcasm meter is broken

MasterofDVD 03-27-07 10:04 AM

As crazy as it was.....the Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash script I read online ages was some creative stuff. Shame that movie will never happen.

Snowmaker 03-27-07 10:04 AM

No love for Michael Meyers?

It's a little late for that kind of question, eh? ;)

modfather 08-27-08 09:53 AM

I really really wish they would do another one. I enjoyed Freddy vs. Jason a lot more than I thought I would.

The reason I brought this thread back is because I just watched, for the first time, Jason Goes to Hell last night. The movie was pretty decent, I guess, but I was pretty surprised by the very ending:

Spoiler:
After Jason "dies", and his mask is on the ground, "Freddy's familiar gloved-hand reaches up from hell, and grabs the mask and pulls it down". I had no idea that they hinted to the Freddy vs. Jason movie. That was kind of cool... :)

I believe that it was Kane Hodder's hand in the glove for that shot too.

When I first saw JGTH, I liked the ending so much that I sat through the whole movie again just to re-watch the ending.

I honestly don't think we'll see another Freddy vs. Jason movie. With remakes to both series coming out, any sequels we see will have the new actors/storylines, which is kinda sad because I thought we could get a few more Nightmare movies out of Robert Englund including another FvJ. :(

don't worry, in 10 years they'll remake freddy vs. jason

modfather 08-27-08 10:59 AM

Anyone but Robert Englund doing Freddy will just be either an imitation or a disaster. Y'know where I think Englund is perfect as Freddy? In the way he stands, his body movements, his saunter. Those are the things that make RE irreplaceable.

islandclaws 08-27-08 11:58 AM

I thought FvJ was mindless fun. It could have been much better in the hands of a more competent director with great love for the source material, but as it stands it's not too bad. I agree that with the forthcoming reboots to both respective franchises the odds of another one are slim, but something tells me that a versus film of some type could be in the works for the future. Personally, I'd love to see a Jason vs. Leatherface film. It could work. The 3 issue comic book series had an interesting plotline. Besides, Leatherface is the only other person (aside from Michael Myers) that I think could give Jason a good match.

Rockmjd23 08-27-08 01:31 PM

All our favorite horror series are pretty much over with. F13, NOES, Halloween, TCM, Hellraiser, Chucky have all been remade or are being remade effectively putting an end to the original series'.
