Unnecessary sequel, or with today's computer technology and the war on terrorism that this more topical than ever? Perhaps a cameo by Matthew Broderick, now working for NORAD?

Awesome. I hope there are at least a few scenes where someone is pecking away at their keyboard and creating advanced graphic images by doing it.

How about no...and release a decent Wargames SE instead? Deal?

Many of these "Direct to Video" sequels have nothing to do with the original movies...they were already in production or the script was already written, the studio took a look at them, and said, "Hey, why don't we make this a sequel to 'Whatever'", and they slap the name on it, knowing it will make more money that way. I'm guessing this may be one of them.

I gotta admit, I'm really looking forward to Jean-Robert Bourdage's role as Hot dog vendor.

Will our protagonist choose ketchup or mustard? Or will he defy convention and HAVE BOTH?!?!?!

I'll relish watching him make that decision.
