I like Paltrow, less so as an actress (though she actually isn't bad) and more so as a seemingly stuck up bitch who thinks it's hilarious that her kids have an Uncle Jay-Z and know every word to 99 problems. It amuses me, she seems pleasant enough and was in one of my favorite movies of the decade (Royal Tenenbaums)

From the Hollywood perspective, it's because the films she's in draw an audience and make money. Bullock has been not one, but TWO moneymakers this year.
From the audience perspective, it's because Bullock chooses safe roles in movies that are not challenging or unpredictable. Both The Proposition and The Blind Side pretty much write themselves once you know the basic premise.

Bullock is predictable as hell.
Roberts is way overrated, and still doesn't deserve that Oscar that should've gone to Burstyn.

I've always liked her, I love a lot of her roles. Age shouldnt matter she still brings in money and gets roles. Shes more talented then a lot of other actresses out there.
