"The Wind That Shakes The Barley" Only 3 cities!?!
After waiting since the middle of last year to see this movie get released in the US (the only way to market anything "Irish" is to release it at St. Patricks Day :hscratch: ), it now appears to be starting tomorrow only in 3 cities: Boston, NY, & L.A.. This is the movie that won the Palme d'Or last year at Cannes!! What gives? Do they think that only "Irish" people are going to see this and that they only live in those 3 cities?
Very disappointing. imdb wikipedia |
In New York and L.A. it will be reviewed by a lot of national publications. After these reviews make it to print and a little buzz is generated it will be released wider.
This is a pretty standard practice. |
I think it must be more than 4 cities. I live in a small town with a population of 70,000 and it's playing here.

I saw this last year. Great little film!

Well that is sad news. It's a nice little flicks, although I kinda have a problem that no one in the film is bleeding despite of being shot at or such.
Anyway, it's a good movie with good story and good acting and I feel that more people should see this. |
terrible title
