Best Scene of 2006?
I read an article the other day where someone suggested they add a new category to the Oscars: Best Scene. A few he had chosen were the scene in Children of Men where Theo and the woman carry the baby down and the fight stops briefly, the beginning chase sequence in Casino Royale, and the "Baby Jesus" scene in Ricky Bobby.
My personal favorite scene in 2006 was in Pan's Labyrinth, when the girl goes down in the monster room with all the food on the table. Amazing scene. |
children of men or the one shot scene from the protector.

I loved the exchange that Nicholson and DiCaprio have in The Departed, during the bar scene about 3/4 into the film. Great to see a scene which pits one of the all-time greatest actors with one of the best of today.

My personal favorite scene in 2006 was in Pan's Labyrinth, when the girl goes down in the monster room with all the food on the table. Amazing scene. The only other scene that was not mentioned was where (in Children of Men) the refugees were waving white flags and got mowed down. And then, retribution...RPG style! Oh yeah...The mouth sewing scene (my vote) (Pan's) |
