I actually think each film has progressivley improved on the last. And the story tying the films together is actually top-notch for b-grade horror. I'm looking forward to this installment.

I think each has gotten progressively worse. I loved the original Saw. Saw 2 was okay, but not nearly as great as the original. The twist ending in the original was much better IMO. Saw 3 was just a big turd, and it left me with no real desire to want to watch Saw 4.

I agree with starseed1981, I think each movie has been better than the last. I thought that the Saw franchise was only going to have 5 movies not 6, this could spell doom for the series if it overstays it's welcome. I think we need to remind these people of the Friday the 13th, Halloween, TCM, Amityville & basically any other horror franchise's "Jumping the Shark" history.
The Saw franchise is one of the select few along with the Chucky franchise that have actually stayed good thus far & have not seen much (If any) dip in quality.

I liked Saw 2 the best, Saw 3 the next best, and Saw 1 comes in last for me. Cary Elwes made me laugh so hard...unfortunatley it wasn't a comedic performance.

Hmm... I liked them all, but enjoyed Saw 1 the most. The other 2 were entertaining and I enjoyed them more then enough to anticipate a 4th (and more, depending on how good this one is).
And hey, unlike the other horror franchises, I think the Saw films has held up pretty well through 3 movies so far.

I really think they need to stop after this one. Saw 3 was a perfect ending to the series. IMHO it was the best entry. Now they've announced a new director for parts V and VI? Give me a break.

After clicking a link for info about the 2-disc Poltergeist disc, I found a link talking about Saw 4.
