Just look up the works of Daisuke Yamanouchi. That dude makes Miike look like Miyazaki.
It's still around and I'm still here.

As for Yamanouchi, the Red Room films are good. I just watched Injured Murder Rape Film for the October challenge. It was pretty funny but nothing else really.

Blood Sisters was another I recently watched. That was better than IMRF but still lackluster.

Mu Zan E is supposed to get a release through Unearthed soon, so I can't wait for that.

Re: The Sickest Horror Movie Ever...

I found Hostel 2 pretty sick, never saw the first Hostel.

As far as 'Irreversible,' I wasn't that disturbed by it. I'm opening up a can of worms, but the character still lived after being anally raped, whereas those who are eviscerated and drawn and quartered, etc, in other movies, are pretty much gone.

I'll even go out on a limb and say I have more sympathy for anally raped men and women, than vaginally raped women, due to traditional biology.

That shouldn't make you so happy..

When does ReGOREgitated Sacrifice come out? I gotta figure they'd try to release them either together or at least close enough.

Just owning those should be grounds for removal from society.

I haven't heard any talks of a release date yet. Though when you go to the old official site for the film it mentions this when you try to buy the DVD/Download:

ReGOREgitated Sacrifice is currently not available for download due to an upcoming distribution deal

Same thing was put up for the Slaughtered Vomit Dolls site. Also Unearthed put up the "Vomit Gore Trilogy" banner on the artwork of SVD, so I'm sure they're ready to release the whole thing soon enough.

As for being happy about the release, what can I say? I like some weird shit.

That's 20 minutes shy of

I forgot to pre-order it, so I'll probably get it either later this week or the week after.

Re: The Sickest Horror Movie Ever...

For those put off by animal cruelty, you can safely avoid the new Hong Kong "documentary" THE UNBELIEVABLE (2009). While I was impressed that the city's filmmakers could still put together something so strong without giving a shit what the mainland blue-hairs might think about it, I really have to cringe at the on-camera slaughter of animals other for no other reason than to repulse the audience. Mission accomplished, I suppose, but this is just the latest in a moderate-sized history of Hong Kong pseudo-docs and features that attempt to paint the backwards, superstitious cultures of Thailand and Singapore as homes to all manner of spooky mysticism and desperate poverty (and really, the two are rarely far removed from each other just about anywhere). The main animal abuse is in Thailand, where a couple of unrelated "blood" rituals require the deaths of an assortment of real animals (eels, chickens, frogs, lizards). The movie itself is a spinoff of a popular, long-running reality TV series in Hong Kong called KWAI DAN (no relation to the Japanese movie; well, not much anyways), but the series rarely presented segments as extreme as those in the movie (it earns it's Category III rating, for sure).

Another recently viewed Asian film that's sure to turn a few stomachs: GROTESQUE (2009). It goes a bit gonzo in the final reel, which is small relief, but the journey to that point is pretty sick and pointless, with a psycho abducting a newly-acquainted young couple and slowly torturing them, carving off and mangling body parts until he gets his rocks off, at which point he allows them to recuperate—as amputees—with promises of freedom as his thanks, but then returns them to the torture chamber to finish them off in even sicker fashion. Says nothing, means nothing. But I suppose Japanese pink horror was headed to this sooner or later. Not a keeper.

I watched "The Machine Girl" a few days ago and thought it was a riot, much better than "Tokyo Gore Police".

Re: The Sickest Horror Movie Ever...

This should go in the DVD bargains section or whatever, but it's for you guys, and all of my 'disturbed, dirty and ashamed' buddies.

If anyone hasn't checked it out yet (I hadn't) Alternative Cinema has an awesome sale page at their website with great deals on lots of what we love - '80s gore classics, '70s exploitation, and more, including a two-pack of Bone and Fight For Your Life for like 15 bucks.

I haven't seen it, but from everything I've read Fight For Your Life more than fits the bill for movies that make you feel reaally ashamed for watching it!
