There was a movie from what I guess would be the early eighties. It was about a guy whose whole world was consumed by the three stooges. That's all I rememer. Any Ideas? Thanks.

Maybe Stoogemania (1986)? I haven't seen it but from the short plot blurb on imdb.com, it sounds similar to what you have described.

Definitely sounds like Stoogemania. I enjoyed it when I was younger. Haven't seen it in years.
