I saw the thread title & this was the very first pair that came to mind for me. Hell, the only pair.

I don't get 'em confused anymore when I realized that Coburn actually smiled once in a while. Marvin - never.

I used to get John C. Reilly and John C. McGinley (from Scrubs) mixed up. Now, with this thread I don't think I will ever again.

Luke Wilson and Edward Burns... NEVER have seen them together, so they must be the same person!

Though I never mix them up, I wouldn't be suprised if others would mix up Christopher Lamber with Thomas Jane.

That's too true. Heck, he even has a hint of Kevin Costner in him. You could have a film with all four of them as brothers and it'd be believable because of Thomas Jane alone.

A friend of mine was certain that the same person played Cher in both the movie and TV show of Clueless (Alicia Silverstone and Rachel Blanchard respectively).

On the other hand he didn't realize that Stacey Dash played the same part in both.

I'm not totally convinced that Billy Connolly

isn't John Cleese

putting on a wig and a Scottish accent.

I've had a few problems with mixing up completely different people. Such as:
Al Pacino and Robert Deniro
Dustin Hoffman, Gene Hackman, and Dennis Hopper (darn H's!)
Meryl Streep and Glenn Close
It's an in-memory thing though, I'd know them if I saw them.
As for looks, I sometimes think that Ryan Reynolds is Dane Cook.

Me too! Except I think I'll probably still get them confused.

Every time we watch something with Bruce Davison, my wife asks me "Is that Ed Begley Jr. or the guy who looks like Ed Begley Jr.?" She was so confused when we watched Kingdom Hospital.

This has honestly only happened to me once. I honestly thought this guy was pegged to play Superman...

Jonathan Bennett

But as we know it was Brandon Routh
