This looks like a definite rental. |
That's why I like Walken.
He's an actor so that's what he does. He not trying to be a star or get praise he just want to work. |
Walken was one of the two highlights of this movie for me. The other, was of course, Maggie Q.
I really hate it when the vast majority of the good jokes are shown in the trailer, as was the case with this movie. |
I dont know why everyone is hating this movie so much. I thought it was pretty funny. They kind of added some key parts into the trailer which spoiled the movie but overall I thought it wasnt bad.

If you go in with low or no expectations, I think this movie will exceed them. It's not a great movie but it was more fun than Rush Hour 3 and there was enough weird, subtle humor to get chuckles out of me when the broad, physical humor wasn't working.
Spoiler:
I'd give this a mild recommend theatrically, but it's something that will do well on cable and I can see it as a cheaply bought Comedy Central mainstay (since they tend to show a lot of movies that are mildly funny). |
This gets made, but we can't get a Kung Pow 2: Tongue of Fury. It's a shame.

I love ping pong. I mean, really love it.
And I love Christopher Walken. So I went into this movie expecting to love it. It was horrible. This movie put me to sleep, literally. If you've seen the trailer, you've seen the best jokes. I would recommend avoiding it, don't even go to a theater that shows this, in the off chance that you walk into this movie accidentally. This is the most disappointed I have been in a movie since SW1. |
