Very interesting article and a good adjunct to studying physics too. I notice the author gives a good notice to "Jurassic Park"'s dinosaurs and is not too kind on "Mothra". But the ultimate test for a film-viewer is what he or she thinks looks good and convincing on the screen. Monsters are "the stuff of nightmares" and their power to impress is not always easily examined under a microscope.
