Disney's Jungle Cruise (2021, D: Collet-Serra) S: Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt
Indeed. I remember when they leaked the Sony emails a couple of year ago they said that they had paid Kevin Hart like 6-7 million dollars for social media promotion and I would think that The Rock is the bigger star nowadays. If all he wants is 1 million to promote on instagram that is a bargain.
IT’S OFFICIAL - JULY 24th, 2020.

Probably a combination of scheduling and needing to do some re-shoots and such and currently Johnson's not available.

Red Notice with Johnson and Gal Gadot from Universal is supposed to come out June 12, 2020
No way two Johnson movies compete directly with each other within 4 weeks.
I presume Red Notice gets pushed back to later in 2020.
Jaume Collet-Serra is the director and John Davis, John Fox, Dwayne Johnson, Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia and Beau Flynn are the producers, with Doug Merrifield serving as executive producer.
Disney’s JUNGLE CRUISE opens in U.S. theaters on July 24, 2020.

I grieve because if this is a hit I just know they will alter the original ride.

And of course they had to use CCR's "Run Through The Jungle" . They already used GnR's "Welcome to the Jungle" in the Jumanji sequel, also starring Duane Johnson.
