DVD Talk review of 'World Trade Center'

I read Brian Orndorfs DVD review of World Trade Center at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=23134 and...
---

Movies like this are pablum for the masses.

After reading the peer-reviewed paper released by Prof Steven Jones, PhD, Physics and Math Department, BYU-Im not sure I buy the so-called "Official" version of the events of 911 anymore.

Yeah-I stupidly bought into the 'Iraq/Iran has WMDs" con like every other Joe.
But sooner or later lies catch up with you,
and that seems to be happening with Bush and gang.

Prof Jones shows with hard science, Mathematic and Physics equations of the known qualities of the buildings materials, jet fuel, momentum and gravity, how it would be impossible for TEN jetliners to bring down the WTC.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) came to the same conclusion in their own study.

Jones also uses photographs, architectual and eyewitness accounts, (such as the men of FDNY).

The real key here is: how did all three buildings (WTC 1,2 & 7 )fall so perfectly into their own footprints-they way a demolitionist would do it?

Airplane fuel and burning office chairs can come nowheres even near the heat needed to melt or vaporize the redundantly built steel cored structure.

But one thing can: THERMITE-the demolitionists best friend.
Placed charges guaranteed that the building would collapse into/upon itself, causing little or no real damage to the surrounding buildings-exactly the opposite of what you would think a "Terrorist" would strive for. The airplanes where a diversion.

There were unexplained pools of molten metal under the wreckage lasting for weeks pointing to THERMITE.

No airplane or collapsing building can come near to creating the heat via momentum that would produce such pools of metal. Just lots and lots of dust-and a jumble of metal;

Indeed Prof Jones finally did receive some debris samples for that fateful, day-and using Mass Spectrometer readings, discovered traces of-THERMITE.

By sheer coincidence-this fateful day led us as sheep to support a war and Foreign policy that the NeoCONs (as in CON artists) wanted to get us into, in the the Middle East.

This act is known as a 'False-Flag' operation- meaning-you create an act of mayhem, then leave tell-tale signs and clues making it look like SOMEONE ELSE did the deed.
No longer a so-called 'Conspiracy Theory' the public and mass media are slowly awakening to the fact that something doesnt quite click with the Governments story;
In fact, when the president was asked by a reporter at a recent press conference if Iraq had anything at all to do with the WTC tragedy, he replied "Of course not" (couldnt find any WMDs there either)
This clip was then shown on the Jon Stewart show, of Comedy Central-and the audience let out an audible gasp-after all- that was the whole reason why our boys were sent there to die-to pay back Saddam and Iraq for 911!

Of course now they backpedal, hem and haw, and say "at that time we thought" pure BS-and they knew it.

It has gotten to the point that Keith Oberman, and Lou Dobbs of MSNBC, among others have had shows actively questioning the so-called 'official version' of that days events, and calling for further investigations.

Oh-and the BYU professor?
He was suddenly offered HUGE grants to steer clear from further research on this, and look into something more sensible-like 'Why chocolate is yummy" or "Does the tooth fairy REALLY leave a dime under your pillow?'
Being an upright, moral Mormon he has refused.

And since that ploy hasnt derailed his research into this, he is now receiving death threats.

Time to wake up America-our county is being pillaged and stolen from us, right before our eyes-and most in a trance dont see it.

Further credible info:

www.scholarsfor911truth.org

and anyone even considering this as a 'conspiracy theory' any longer is a marble or two short.

Watergate was laughed at as a "liberal conspiracy theory" until 2 young, brave reporters dug deeper than anyone else dared-and the rest is history;

We need some reporters with the same guts right now.

What the shit? Nothing you posted is remotely connected to this film or the review. I respect your right to question authority, but please, at least do it in the proper forum. The movie forum is for discussing a FILM's merits, not political banter.

Respect the film, the reviewer and your fellow forum members enough to keep discussions in their proper places.

Yeah, we all know George Bush detonated the thermite charges himself. Not to let Rumsfeld miss out on the fun, W let him detonate WTC 7 after he got back from killing kittens.

As someone who knew people in the WTC, and the firemen that went in, I would love to spit in your face.

:grumble:

Everybody knows that termites eat wood, not steel. Duh.

Time published a short little bit this week that shot back at some of the outlandish conspiracy theorys.

That's because they don't want anyone to take too close a look at it, and see all the obvious photoshopping!

BYU Professor on Paid Leave for 9-11 Theory
September 8th, 2006 @ 6:59am
Gene Kennedy Reporting

A controversy over words at BYU this morning. A professor is on paid leave for suggesting the government is responsible for the destruction of the World Trade Center.

The man on paid leave is Dr. Steven Jones. He's a physics professor involved in the so-called "9-11 Truth Movement."

Jones believes unnamed government agencies orchestrated the fall of the twin towers and he says there's evidence to back it up.

Two weeks ago he published his theory in a paper called "Why Indeed did the World Trade Center Buildings Collapse?" In it, the professor says the towers fell not because of planes hitting them but rather pro-positioned demolition charges.

He sites research conducted at BYU on materials from ground zero, asserting those materials show evidence of thermite, a compound used in military detonations. He says terrorists could have never set those charges.

The State Department has released a rebuttal to Jones' theory in a 10-thousand page report.

BYU made this statement last night.

"Physics Professor Steven Jones has made numerous statements about the collapse of the World Trade Center. BYU has repeatedly said that it does not endorse assertions made by individual faculty.

"We are, however, concerned about the increasingly speculative and accusatory nature of these statements by Dr. Jones."

The university added, "BYU remains concerned that Dr. Jones' works on this topic has not been published in appropriate scientific venues."

It is rare for some in Dr. Jones' position to be under review because he has taught at BYU for more than a decade.

He began his career at the university in 1985 and has been known his cold fusion research. But other professors will teach his classes while he's on paid leave.

He will be allowed to conduct research in his field but the university is reviewing his actions.

The Man is trying to silence his proof about 9/11, just like they silenced his invention of Cold Fusion!

It amazes me that someone can be so bold as to criticize the gullibility of the populace and present a counter theory that is so ludicrous, gullible doesn't even begin to describe your stupidity.
