There is only one summer 2007 movie. That movie is Spidey 3. The rest are just trying to come in second.

Matthew Chmiel 08-24-06 06:27 PM

Out of the "bigger" films, I'm looking forward to:

Spider-Man 3

Ocean's 13
Live Free or Die Hard
Ratatouille
Transformers
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Knocked Up

dpz301 08-24-06 06:48 PM

lineup looks pretty exciting. im sure i will catch most that aren't kids films or horror films.

Dash 08-24-06 06:57 PM

Im actually intrested in seeing most of those movies. Which is usually more than I end up seeing in summers. Things are looking up.

Mr. Cinema 08-24-06 07:05 PM

Spidey 3 easily tops my list. Next Summer's titles look promising on paper. I wasn't too thrilled with this Summer's offerings.

LorenzoL 08-24-06 07:19 PM

I'm looking forward to Spider Man 3, Pirates and Harry Potter in that order.

BTW, I wasn't aware that they were making a sequel of the Bourne series  and an Alien vs Predator one

Joe Molotov 08-24-06 07:33 PM

Wow, four franchises capable of doing $300+ Million are hitting next summer, three in the same month.

Maybe it'll get fixed somehow. They got rid of Paul W. S. Anderson.

from what I know of it.. Paul W.S. Anderson's crap could actually be better...

GoldenJCJ 08-24-06 08:03 PM

It'll be interesting to see how Spidey and Capt. Jack do going toe to toe.

I had to IMDB Evan Almighty. looks like a sequel to Bruce Almighty

Doughboy 08-24-06 08:31 PM

Think there are enough sequels and remakes on that list? Good Lord! No wonder I only saw 2 movies at the theater all summer(neither of which ended up being good I might add).

That being said, I'll more than likely see 5 movies off that list and all of them are sequels.:)

Same here. Only a few on the list that don't interest me in any way.

Another animated penguin movie? You've got to be kidding me.

dadaluholla 08-24-06 09:36 PM

Nice looking summer! I had better start saving up some popcorn money now, i'm going to be busy.

May 4 - Spider-Man 3
May 25 - Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End :)
June 15 - Fantastic Four and the Rise of the Silver Surfer
June 29 - Live Free or Die Hard
July 4 - Transformers
August 3 - The Bourne Ultimatum

I'm surprised Fox is releasing Fantastic Four 2 and Die Hard 4 so close together.

I'm very interested in seeing who will win the Pirates vs. Shrek battle come next May. Shrek might finally have lost steam after all the disappointing video sales, so I'm wondering if Pirates will clobber it the second week out.

Then again, the "Pirates" craze could easily run out of steam too. Like "Back to the Future II" and "III" being released so close together (within the same year). I'm sure "Pirates 3" will make as much as the first film. But will and can it do what "Dead Man's Chest" did?

Also, I didn't realize "Shrek 2" did so bad on DVD. Is that true?

Oh, sorry. I looked through that list so fast, I thought "Happy Feet" was on there and what he/she was talking about. "Surf's Up", huh? Well, similar animated movies is nothing new. Just ask Dreamworks ;)

onebyone 08-24-06 10:59 PM

May is crazy. I can't wait to see how that plays out. Which movie will conquer? I have no idea.

island007 08-24-06 11:04 PM

Spidy, Pirates, and Harry souind good.

Aside from Happy Feet, there was also Madagascar in which penguins were the only reason to watch the movie.

PopcornTreeCt 08-25-06 12:37 AM

Spidey vs. Shrek vs. Pirates

Very tough to call, but I bet the Box Office ranking will be:

1. Shrek
2. Pirates
3. Spidedy

Shannon Nutt 08-25-06 04:42 AM

Other than Spidey, The Simpsons and Harry Potter (and possibly Die Hard, although I need to see some previews first), it's going to be a really long summer for me! :(
