Info about the new Christopher Guest movie "For Your Consideration"

I was scanning some other sites and found a new site "to me" that contained information about his new movie and a premiere for it in Canada. It will have basically the same cast as all of his other movies. Being a fan of Christopher Guest I thought that I would share this information with others who enjoy his work. Here's the link if you want to read about it:

I hadn't heard of that. Nice, ripe subject. I'll definitely look forward to it. Thanks!

I, myself was wondering what his next flic would be until I found that article today. It seems like an eternity since A Mighty Wind came out. Hell, even Almost Heroes was a hilarious movie in my opinion. I haven't been let down by Mr. Guest yet.

It's been announced for the Toronto International Film Festival. I'm going to try and get tickets. I hope Ricky Gervais becomes a permanent member of the "Christopher Guest players."

Gervais + Guest. This should be funny.

I guess not many people on this board care about Guest's movies.

This movie isn't coming out until November, so don't take it personally.

I love his movies, just didn't see this thread.

I'm in. It'll be nice to get cynical again. I was disappointed with A Mighty Wind, in that it was too reverent of it's subject matter-- it wasn't mean enough for me. Guest's other films have been so skewering of their subject matter that they have redefined their sub-genres. Can anyone watch regional theater and not think of Guffman? See a dog show and not have a Best Of Show flashback? Ever watch a behind the scenes rock documentary and not get a few Spinal Tap moments? They've permanently cemented their place in the culture and I just feel that A Mighty Wind was a real softball by comparison.

Hopefully the independent film community and awards season gets a well-deserved kick in the rear. And I'm ALWAYS up for a comedic role for Parker Posey. She's amazing.

Well the new Wes Anderson movie doesnt even start filming until the end of the year and yet people are chatting it up in that thread. I like his movies as well but I prefer the style and substance of Guest's movies over Anderson's.

Like I said, don't take it personally. Why do you feel like you need validation of your opinion by having lots of people post in your thread?
