What film was this scene from?
 

I'm not sure it was from a science fiction or horror film, but in the scene, some guy gets sliced with a sword (or something) semi-vertically from the top of his head to about his shoulder area. He stands there a while afterwards. And then the part that was cut slides off. A clean cut.

Anyone?

Sounds like "Equilibrium" with Taye Diggs and Christian Bale. I could be wrong, though. It has happened before...

It happened in AVP (Alien vs. Predator) too.

Underworld?

It's probably Johnny Mnemonic, with the laser whip. That was the best part of the movie, or at least I thought so when I was 12.

Thanks Kevin. Great old thread. It could have been "Underworld". Or maybe even "13 Ghosts". I'll need to watch both again. I had no idea so many movies had this type of scene.

In 13 Ghosts, the guy gets cut longways by a glass wall.

in Resident Evil, he gets sliced by the lasers

:eek: Forsooth man! It's a monomolecular filament. They only made it red for Joe Sixpack. The worst movie I actually like.

was it any of the blade movies?
