The "shot" as you call it, was regarding CGI compared to today's action films...which is overused, IMHO. This has to be the most misused smiley in the history of smilies!

That one didn't even really seem like a Die Hard movie to me... it seemed like a standard action movie that just had a few Die Hard characters thrown in.

john McTiernan to do Die Hard 4!!!
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0337978/
hm, I could consider watching it, would depend a lot on reviews.
Though he really is awesome.

I wouldn't use the IMDB listing as a source of information for upcoming releases. Note that the IMDB is user-maintained, so anybody can put bad information up: especially when that information is hard to verify.

DIE HARD 4 is a go.....
'Die Hard 4' Resurrects
Wed, Jul 21, 2004, 09:07 AM PT
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) -- The "Die Hard 4" film that has languished for nearly a decade may finally get made before Bruce Willis retires.
Willis has had a few false starts planning to continue the popular series of "Die Hard" films that catapulted him to fame in 1988. Portraying a well-meaning cop John McClane who finds himself up against terrorists in very difficult situations, Willis made the original with director John McTiernan and then "Die Hard 2: Die Harder" in 1990 with Renny Harlin and "Die Hard: With a Vengeance" with McTiernan again in 1995.
McTiernan is again signed on to direct and Willis was coaxed back into the project after he said at one point he didn't want to continue the action franchise. Willis couldn't bring out box office crowds for his latest action films "Hart's War" in 2002 and "Tears of the Sun" in 2003. He had even less success earlier this year with "The Whole Ten Yards," the gangster comedy sequel to "The Whole Nine Yards" with Matthew Perry.
And, the actor, who will be 50 next March, also has less hair than he did in the earlier "Die Hards." Shooting is supposed to begin next summer.
Doug Richardson, who wrote Willis's latest film "Hostage," is teaming with Marc Bomback who wrote "Godsend" for the fourth installment. No doubt it will have terrorists involved, and lots of explosions, and it may involve McClane's daughter, according to people who read early versions of the script.
And, the "Die Hard 4: Die Hardest" title previously announced may now become: "DH 4.0."

Sweet news.
One excellent action flick, and the two sequels are very good as well. It's amazing how a few flops in a row will whet a person's appetite for a guaranteed hit.

Hey I'm all about it. All I ask for is lots of violence, kick ass action, and a yippee kiyiyay mother f***ker.
But...does anyone think McTiernan still has the chops for this? I thought Die Hard with a Vengeance was a good action movie, but after 13th Warrior, Rollerball, I wonder...

It's one thing if it is a very long title, like say "Mystery Science Theater 3000" - eleven syllables. Shorten it to "MST3K." Honestly, it takes less effort to say "Die Hard 4" than "D H 4 Point O."

I like just a simple Die Hard 4. Or even Die Hard IV.

IMO, DH4.0 will turn out to be another flop. Why would they make a good movie out of it since Bruce Willis is getting too old to continue on with any more sequels and without him.. it wouldn't be Die Hard?
A good movie would translate to possible continuation or sequels and I highly that will happen. It's already at sequel 4.
