Fess up.

Did almost everyone who watched SUPERMAN RETURNS pull out their copies of SUPERMAN I and II this week? How about the Fleischer cartoons? Did anyone re-watch those cause you're in SUPERMAN mode?

There's SUPERMAN fever that's apparently sweeping the nation because all the Superman DVD's at Blockbuster were rented out.

We've been playing both Superman I and II at work to promote Returns, so heck yeah, I've been rewatching I and II like crazy.

I watched Superman the Tuesday before and Superman II Wednesday morning, then went and saw Superman Returns that afternoon. As a huge fan of the first two Superman films, I really enjoyed this one. They had me with the opening credit sequence.

Yep. I've been on a Smallville kick, so I knocked out about 20 episodes of Smallville in the past 10 days, as well as the first movie. The second movie is on deck for this evening.

Yes, I had to. Same as watching Star Wars I and II, then III in theaters, then Clone Wars 1 and 2 (yeah, ran out of time to watch them BEFORE III), then IV-VI. I watched Superman I and II before Returns. Just yesterday I watched the opening and then the Clark/ Superman fight of III. How come I never realized Superman III was so silly as a kid, but I did think the robot girl was really scary? I also watched the first episode of the Krypto DVD I bought pretty much only to get the ticket for Returns and the comic. Need to watch the other Super movies now.

Not this week, but I watched 1 and 2 a few months back. I also watched the last season of Smallville and have been picking up the animated series as it comes out.

Returns was just OK.

Going to see "Returns" tonight, but I've rewatched the first two films in the past two weeks. I'll even one-up my geek-ness and fess up to finishing reading the 4-part comic book prequel to "Superman Returns" (though nothing really went on in them) last night.

Is that in any way related to the Best Buy comic I got from my Krypto DVD?

I watched Superman, but I had to skim thru Superman II. I just don't find it very watchable, but of course I'm looking forward to the Donner cut.

Yes. Whilel at work Thursday night I watched parts of Superman I and II. I gotta be honest, while they may be classics, I'm glad the franchise has moved forward. Morgot was kinda ok looking in I but by II... ugh.

and oh, Superman's new costume looks tons better than the bright colors of the past.

I watched both withing the last 10 days. After watching Superman Returns, I was a little surprised at how well the flying effects in the first two held up considering they were both made more than 25 years ago.

I had forgotten how good those movies were, especially Superman.

No, I did not. I don't remember the Superman films being particularly good.

I watched part of Superman 1 or 2, don't remember which one it is.... on Cinemax. It was pretty bad, so I turned it off after 10 minutes.

Probably not. These were 4 "prequel comics" released a week at a time upto the time of the movie's release. Basically dealing with the 3 main characters that Superman Returns to -- Ma Kent, Lex, and Lois.

I think they need to do Superman Returns II with Braniac

Superman Returns III with Doomsday or Bizarro

and of course, you have to scrape the bottom of the barrel with Superman Returns IV with Toyman.
