If you had to choose one director to film your life story so far...

...who would it be?

I would pick Quentin Tarantino. He's a film geek like me and I think could he really identify with my story and make my life story pretty fun and interesting. He would also choose great music and put in some cool dialogue to make me look good.

Directors I wouldn't choose:

Sophia Coppola
I think she would make a really boring movie about my life that was also arty and pretentious.

Eli Roth
He would probably try to paint me out to be some disturbing, creepy person, which is too close...er...far from the truth.

M Night Shymalan
I do not want some stupid twist ending at the end of my movie because my life has not had a major surprise twist yet.

Joss Whedon
I would want the movie about my life to be a hit, not some boxoffice flop that has no hope for a sequel.

Cameron Crowe. He's the only one who could do it justice.

devilshalo 06-21-06 04:45 PM

Wong Kar Wai.

Patman 06-21-06 04:52 PM

Kieslowski or Fincher

I'd use multiple directors.

1958-70(0-12) Spielberg
1971-88(13-30) Cameron Crowe
1989- (31- ) Peckinpah

Ingmar Bergman

If I could resurrect the dead, Kubrick would be great. I want people to leave the theater after my life story going, "Wait, what? I don't think I get it."

If that's not an option, and he was on my "side", Michael Moore. He'd antagonize the hell out of people I didn't like and convince half the country my life was much cooler than it really was.

If neither of those work, I'd take Spielberg, because even if it sucked, it would be a smash hit, and my family would clean up on the royalties. The fact is that no one could make a good film about my life, so may as well turn it into a cash grab.

David Lynch.

And I would have Crispin Glover portray me from birth to death..

Alan Smithee 06-21-06 05:24 PM

Gregory Dark- the porn director :D

daniel18 06-21-06 05:32 PM

Joel Coen.

j123vt_99 06-21-06 05:43 PM

Andrew Blake or Viv Thomas

PopcornTreeCt 06-21-06 08:22 PM

Terence Malick

Because the scenery is much more interesting than the characters.

Michael Corvin 06-21-06 08:43 PM

If I'd done anything monumental in my life: Cameron Crowe. As it stands right now, Kevin Smith.

Uwe Boll. There's a lot of moments in my life that could only be properly filmed using bullet time techniques.

gmal2003 06-21-06 08:57 PM

Chris Nolan. Nice mixture of surrealism and straightforwardness.

lxl 06-21-06 09:21 PM

Stanley Kubrick

joefrog91 06-21-06 09:58 PM

Tim Burton - He's the ony one that could capture the darkness and quirkiness of my life together and still make it interesting.

Maxflier 06-22-06 12:00 AM

I'd want Ridley Scott since he could do the proper epic my life story would deserve (yeah right).

MartinBlank 06-22-06 12:54 AM

Martin Scorsese...cause he's the man!
or
The Coen Brothers....:D
or
Steven Spielberg....his lighting bugs the shit outta me.
or
Tony Scott....cause I ate acid once.

lordwow 06-22-06 06:31 AM

Christopher Nolan

Charlie Goose 06-22-06 09:32 AM

Michael Bay :(

Mondo Kane 06-22-06 01:22 PM

I took this test and got none other than Roger Corman!

As far as choosing goes, give me Ollie Stone!

mdc3000 06-22-06 01:26 PM

Woody Allen, circa late 1970's.

According to Mondo Kane's movies, Woody Allen.

I hate Woody Allen movies.
