Three Extremes II

Wow, cool, thanks for the new forum to discuss all things horror!

I thought I'd kick things off by discussing Three Extremes 2, which I rented over the weekend. Didn't even know it was out but I saw the first one so thought I'd check this one out.

In a word - blah. Didn't compare to the first one at all. All three shorts were rather boring with no big payoff or any good gore. The middle story was the worst by far. But the other 2 couldn't seem to get moving. I thought the first one was going to be good but it kept plodding along. I don't want to say too much and spoil it but they seemed to be going for more of an "artsy" feel with less dialog and action than I'm used to.

I don't know if there are any extras but I'll take a look tonight before returning it.

BTW, watched this one with 2 other people and it got a unanimous 3 :thmbsdwn:.

I dont know want went with the American market, changing the title of the original "THREE" to "THREE Extremes 2" (riding in with the current release of Three Extremes DVD).

Yes, there are no gore with this "supposed" sequel, since the "Three" series was originally based more on eerie ghost stories than murder/slash/cannibalism gore (which Three Extremes did)

Oh, I just saw that in the latest DVD Stalk they linked to a recent review for Three Extremes 2: http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=22110. How accidentally appropriate of me to post about this. I see now that "2" actually come out before TE, which somewhat explains the differences.

I'm with you, Jray. I didn't like the second one either.

Well, I was considering a blind buy on this from Blockbuster as part of their 4 for $20 deal - but I'll take everyone's word on this and skip it. Thanks for the info.
