you would think that with the upgrade and installation of Disney Digital 3D (DLP) systems, Pixar might be the ideal and next batch of movies to get released as such... at this point, it looks like we'll have to wait for the next 3D DLP film to be Sony's Fall release of 'Beowulf' -

Ratatouille looks like it could be Pixar's bestfilm yet. I'm digging the style a lot. The story sounds really interesting, and the animal human interaction seems pretty fresh into today's animation.

Randy Miller III 04-03-07 03:53 PM

Looks very promising...I'll definitely check this out on the big screen!

 Looks good!

I didn't click the link but I'm assuming it's the same trailer I saw in front of Meet The Robinsons. I haven't seen a Pixar movie I didn't like and this one should be fun. It definitely has Brad Bird's signature look and I'm a big fan of his.

Brad Bird is king!

hardercore 04-06-07 05:32 PM

This is the guy who did The Iron Giant and The Incredibles.

I'm there.

Pixar has never let me down, unlike most I thought Cars was one of their stronger efforts and I had it as my #6 film of 2006.

harrydoyle 04-09-07 01:47 PM

I agree..trust in Pixar.

But beyond that, I think the animation looks beautiful and the story is quite compelling. A rat that wants to be a gourmet chef...the impossible dream...it has a lot of potential.

I agree, I don't understand why so many thought it was weaker than the rest. Of course, I don't understand the lack of love that A Bug's Life gets either.

mmconhea 04-10-07 11:20 AM

Pixar really can't go wrong. They put so much detail into their animation yet they never widdle down the story. Although I wasn't at all interested in the Cars movie (I hate NASCAR-type "sports") I saw it and loved it.
I will see this one regardless of reviews.
And hopefully Pixar won't get ripped out of another oscar...
unless Happy Feet 2 comes out

LivingINClip 04-10-07 01:18 PM

I'll see it, the only Pixar film lacking in my opinion was Cars, which lacked the sharp wit of the other films.

I love A Bug's Life... I especially enjoyed Kevin Spacey as "Hopper". It's always been one of my favorite movies.

Unfortunately, Shrek The Third is coming...

The Incredibles beat out Shrek 2 for the Oscar, so maybe Brad Bird can do it again.

Xander 04-12-07 09:01 AM

I've really enjoyed all of Pixar's films, including A Bug's Life and Cars. I will definitely be seeing this.

DoubleDownAgain 04-12-07 05:56 PM

Looks good, I'll probably take my girls to see it. I liked Cars but was probably my least favorite pixar movie.

harrydoyle 04-15-07 03:19 PM

I just realized that Patton Oswalt is the voice of Remy. No idea why it took me so long. Seems like a good fit.

tofu 04-15-07 07:55 PM

Looks like a pretty funny movie. I'm definitely interested in seeing it

Yeah, me too. I just can't figure out why it doesn't get talked about as much as the rest of them. Dave Foley as Flik was awesome, such an endearing character.

Is the accent on the 1st, 3rd or 4th syllable?

guywall 05-01-07 11:04 AM

A friend of mine works for Pixar. He says the word around their campus is it is the best looking film they've done to date.

It is pronounced "Rat-a-too-ee"

This is going to be true of every subsequent film they make based on advancing technology and technique.

harrydoyle 05-01-07 04:46 PM

The 9-minute clip is outstanding
