Most badassiest scene in cinema
It seems like its getting harder for films lately to convince the audience to feel any real emotions. I remember as a kid, I got so excited and pumped up when the bash brothers started knocking out everybody in the mighty ducks. hell, i high-fived my friend after every knucklepuck time.
gaah, well anyways, now that we're "all growns up", whats your favorite scene that just oozes of cool and badassiness that can surpass even a triple deke moment? My current favorite has to be the "courtroom scene" in the boondock saints or mickey's first fight in snatch. |
there are many threads...one you even started: favorite scene
best/worst... favorite... just do a search on scene and so many more will come up by category, etc... hope this helps. |
I didn't know badassiest was an actual word

BEST SCENE:
CROSSROADS: the scene where Brittany is driving the car. It's just so awesome. |

Though I might change my mind tomorrow, I'll vote for the bank heist and street fight spill out from HEAT.

Can't choose one, but here are a selected few:
King Kong vs V-Rexes car chase in the French Connection courtroom sequence between Cruise and Nicholson in A Few Good Men When Superman squeezes Zod's hand and you hear the breaking sound and then John Williams' score comes in. That scene always get me pumped. War of the Worlds, when the ships finally show themselves. Great camera work there by Janusz Kaminski. Giant sand face from The Mummy I think this is from Two Towers, when Legolas is sliding down and he keeps shooting arrows over and over. very cool. Rocky vs Drago Ending of Unforgiven, when the real William Munny shows up. Hulk vs the tanks When they're making the rap song in Hustle and Flow. |
hospital shoot-out: Hardboiled
demon chow down/fight scene: Demons ladder fight scene: Once Upon A Time In China finale car chase: Road Warrior |
William Holden revealing the Nazi spy in Stalag 17.
|
The best display of badass-osity?
Brad Pitt's Tyler Durden getting his ass kicked by the bar owner while laughing and asking for more; Fight Club. -JP |

The end of Equilibrium needs to be added to the list, especially the hallway scene in my opinion.

The part in TPM when Darth Maul lights up that double-bladed lightsaber is the very definition of badassiest.

How about Oldboy's "One on Many" scene?
Or the scene in Office Space when they play "Damn it feels good to be a gangsta"? Or (despite its sad reputation now) the building shootout scene in the first Matrix? Or the Gogo fight scene in Kill Bill vol. 1? Those were all badass. |
