Vomiting, Urinating and Defecating: AKA - Worst week in DVDtalk History?
Seriously. :wtf: people? I thought the median age around dvdtalk was mid 20's-mid 30s. Who let the kiddies in here?
Movies in which a character urinates on screen? 'Defecation Scenes' in movies Vomiting in movies? How come you never see anyone in Star Wars go to the bathroom? |
After the Nintendo Wii announcement, potty jokes are all the rage now and/or we are being invaded by Gamefaqs board members. :whofart:

This thread offends my sensibilities.
All threads are awe inspiring on their own, but taken as a whole it's just plain disgusting. |
I think this slew of threads is a matter of coincidence, not a harbinger of the end times. Young ladies aren't about to show their ankles in public and say rude things about the Queen.
How come you never see anyone in Star Wars go to the bathroom?[/QUOTE] This is an older thread, not really part of some sick trend. Vomiting in movies? The poster of this thread kind of had a good reason for posting it, as he is an actor and claims he can vomit on command. He was trying to see if this was something he could exploit to get work. 'Defecation Scenes' in movies Maybe this one is a little odd, but I chalk it up to the influence of The Edit King. Movies in which a character urinates on screen? Can't really defend this one. I suspect band wagon jumping. Tomorrow, if I come back and see additional threads about sneezing, flatulence, sharts, Aunt Flo, and juice spilling, then I might start to worry. But for the time being, I am content that all this to shall pass. |
Thanks for the new threads ideas Mr. Jarmen and also a big thanks for not crediting me for the defecation influence.

dooky is funny. therefore, i voted dooky.

It's called beating a joke into the ground until it's not even mildly amusing.
|
wait now, we haven't even gotten to snot, cum, or spit yet...

"Scenes where someone is peeing while eating a hotdog on a covered bridge"
That was the thread title I was going to start until I reelized this one was pretty similar. The question is not real (but if you know of any please post a pic!), but why are we getting a load of questions like this? Why do people start these really obscure threads? Are people actually watching films and when a scene pops up like this, do people start thinking "where can I see more of this?" Have we really started running out of questions? The questions seem to be mindless and have no point, and when someone mentions that its for a "project" you have to wonder of the merit of said project. |

pun intended ? |
Well, it's still better than back when we were inundated with Star Wars threads... ;)
|
I think those threads are all valid if they call attention to the excesses of the European "History-as-a-collection-of-body-fluids" film school of the 90's and 00's: Elizabeth (1998), Vatel, Le Roi Danse, La Reine Margot, Ridicule, Farinelli, Saint-Germain ou La Négociation, Henry VIII (2003), Gunpowder, Treason and Plot, Saint-Cyr, on and on... and the toilet humour that has almost drowned recent American comedies under a pile of human feces, starting with Spielberg's 1941 way back in 1979 and culminating in Not another teen movie, which at least was a parody of the whole messy "genre".
