Vomiting in movies?

Seen it plenty of times, The Chase with Buffy comes to mind.
The Exorcist count? Or do you mean not-faked? In which case, I dunno, probably Jackass and Super Size Me.

I recall a very memerable vomiting scene in Henry Fool.
Oh come on, who hasn't that happened to?

And if you watch the extras in Chopper, in the stabbing scene where his "buddy" vomits, the actor sits there retching until he really throws up almost on cue. No fingers down his throat, nothin'.

I think I have a phobia about vomiting; I can't stand to see it, hear it, or smell it. I've purposely missed Jackass: The Movie and Supersize Me because I heard they had puking scenes in them. So far I've avcoided Audition for the same reason.
One that I did see without realizing it was The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. The kid voluntarily gagged himself on the revolver.

Personally, I'm more interested in why the director wants us to actually see it. I mean, can't they imply it by sounds 'n such? Do we really need to see it coming from the mouth?

Since I've been a kid I've had a "thing" about vomiting. It really disturbs me. It started with the movie "Car Wash". I was eating when the scene happened and I've bee weird about it ever since. I
The Sopranos scene with Andrea was pretty nasty. In fact I think it really messed me up the 1st time I saw it. It was faked but I heard even the actors in the scene were almost ready to puke on their own because it was so realistic.

Hmmm ... is this something that you put on your resume? Or is there a special list at Equity and SAG that casting directors can consult? just curious .....
