The Green Mile - the scene where the little French guys head catches on fire. I couldn't stand to watch that.

I forgot about that scene - agggh, that scene was pretty gnarly.

The scene in Payback where Porter (Mel Gibson) has his toes broken always makes cringe.

Avoid seeing Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance.

Oh, but c'mon, the severing is done in cool, soothing running water. No cringe-worthy "slitting" sounds to taunt the squeamish.

;)

That's the first one that came to mind for me.

Another is the scene with the dog being killed in The Butterfly Effect.

I see a lot of standard answers, like Irreversible however the quoted above was probably the most draining movies I've ever sat through. Great movie, VERY depressing.

There are multiple scenes in the movie Cannibal Holocaust.

-Turtle mutilation
-Muskrat kill
-monkey decapitation
-rapes galore
-abortion scene
etc.....

This movie made me want to take a bath afterwords. Don't want to see it again.

Mad Dawg 04-12-06 03:30 PM

The "Is it safe?" scene in Marathon Man. Yipe!

And I agree with those who point out the Swingers scene.

Really, I was more disturbed by the little girl on the bridge. You just knew what was coming and wanted to stop it from happening even if it was just a movie.

Perkinsun Dzees 04-12-06 04:03 PM

The scene in Peter Jackson's HEAVENLY CREATURES....

Spoiler:
When Kate Winslet bashes in the head of her friend's mother. Not sure why, but I found it more gruesome than all of the killings in Jackson's BRAINDEAD or LORD OF THE RINGS films. Hehe, I'm probably the only one who feels that way, though.

Also, any scene with Kathy Bates nudity makes me cover my eyes.

devilshalo 04-12-06 04:09 PM

The Serpent and the Rainbow -
Spoiler:
Bill Pullman getting a spike thru his package

The Scene in Star Trek II when
Spoiler:
Khan puts the bugs in Checkov and the Reliant Captain's space suits.

There's a scene very similar to this in Child's Play 3makes me hurt just thinking about it.

The scene where they pry Malcolm McDowell's eyes open in A Clockwork Orange gives me the heebie jeebies as well

The ice-pick stabbings in Basic Instinct

kgrogers1979 04-13-06 05:11 AM

I can't stand the scene in Hannibal
Spoiler:
where Hannibal removes the top of Ray Liotta's skull revealing his brain while Liotta is still alive. As if that wasn't enough, then Hannibal forces Liotta to eat a section of his own brain.
:yack:
