Heat Vision and Jack (a Jack Black pilot)

Here's something that's been swimming around the Internet

Heat Vision and Jack

If you're a Jack Black, Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller fan, you'll like it.

If you're not, well...

Yeah, that was funny.... back when I first saw it seven years ago...

And it's a TV pilot - why'd you post this in the movies forum?

Well maybe it's because they are making a movie about it.

I hadn't heard that Rob Schrab was working on a Heat Vision and Jack movie, but after doing some Googling, it appears that he is indeed writing a draft. Now if only he'd finish that last issue of Scud...

If they do make it into a movie, I hope it's funnier then the pilot, which I thought was kind of weak.

This would have been a great TV series.

A fact you might have mentioned in your original post.

Yeah, I've had this downloaded for several years now. Entertaining for a visit every now and then, but I can't see this as a standalone movie without a TV run to build up an audience.

Speaking of Jack Black - what the hell happened to the Tenacious D movie?

I know they wrapped filming even before Black did the pick-ups for King Kong. Post Production on a movie like this shouldn't take too long - maybe they don't want it competing with all the other movies he's in that are coming up...?

Wasn't there also a movie in the works?
Hopefully the Saturn game wasn't the last thing we saw of Scud
