Q1-a lot
Q2-no, at least not in theatrical releases. I feel violence is watered down too much now compared to where it used to be in the 1980s. Q3-A, attracts me, out of curiousity Q4-D, at least in my case Q5-Hell no! Q6-Tennessee |
I knew being a US citizen would come in handy someday :D
1. a lot 2. no 3. C 4. D 5. No 6. Colorado |

Q1: Do you like violent movies? → a lot
Q2: Do you think US movies are too violente→ no - same level and amount of movies as violent foreign movies Q3: A violent movie: attracts me (if it's choreographed violence only) Q4: Movie violence: the 4 choices aren't the only choices that exist. If anything, they can do all of what you said - educate against violence, inspire people to do violence, and/or serve as entertainment purposes Q-5: no Q-6: new york |
Q1: Medium
Q2: No. Fiction is fiction, and the MPAA (along with trailers, reviews and plot summaries) sees to it that people know what to expect from their fiction going in. Q3: C, Don't care. It's not a deciding factor in what I see or don't see. Q4: D, Sells tickets. Again, it's fiction. Violence is a plot device like any other. Nobody asks whether romance in films causes people to spontaneously fall in love.. Q5: Fuck no. Q6: Texas |
1) Little
2) No, there are plenty of non-violent choices. Choice is a good thing. 3) Don't Care 4) All of the above 5) Absolutely not 6) California |
You want US Citizens only because you want to play into the stereotype that Americans only like violent movies?

Q1: Do you like violent movies? a lot
Q2: Do you think US movies are too violente→/no…why? this is just my opinion. i have a very high tolerance level so it'll take alot to be violent. in the end, it's just a movie, and notthing is real. i suppose to the typical viewer some may be violent because they've seen nothing like it. Q3: A violent movie A-attracts me Q4: Movie violence D-sells ticked, no other impacts Q-5: If you had the power to do so, would you bane all movie violence? no Q-6: the State you live in please, texas |
motion picture violence isn't a problem in and of itself. only its context has a potential to be a problem. to answer your questions, i'd have to do so for every violent film i've seen. given the options for Q4, i can see where each answer (educates us on our society, helps prevent violence by showing the consequences, encourages violent behavior, sells tickets, no other impacts) could be true or false under different circumstances relating to intent, context, audience, etc. why not try writing a paper on that?
6) Hollywood, USA! The Dream Factory! |
Q1: Do you like violent movies? little
Q2: Do you think US movies are too violent? yes why? It's puts butts in the seats Q3: A violent movie C-don’t care Q4: Movie violence D-sells tickets, no other impacts Q-5: If you had the power to do so, would you ban all movie violence? No Q-6: the State you live in please Texas |
