IMDb Bottom 100

How many films do you like in their bottom 100?

My favourite two in their list is MK2 and Streetfighter. I'm not really ashamed of them, because I both love them, but they're on a worst film list..

Also, Police Academy 6 & 7. Not my favourites of the series, but I still enjoyed them.

The rest I pretty much agree with.

Linko 03-12-06 06:25 PM

Street Fighter is a terrible movie but I still kind of like it although I think it's deserving of IMDb bottom 100 status. Jaws: The Revenge is deserving as well although I do own it on DVD (along with Jaws 3) just because I loved the first two.

NatrlBornThrllr 03-12-06 08:01 PM

I like some bad movies, but there aren't any on the list that I've both seen and enjoyed.

I enjoyed Street Fighter right up until they had the freeze frame ending. I walked out at that point because the movie was over, but had they done it at another time in the movie, I would have walked out then.

Does anybody know if these votes are weighted? Some have 10,000+ votes, while others have only 1 or 2 thousand, if even that many.

Edit: from what I can gather, the majority of the people on the board are about 14, so, that might have something to do with it.

I'd watch Children of the Corn III.

#82 Crossroads

Considering what a trashy, pale and bloated skank Britney has become,
seeing her when she was super-hot is like finding a Jamba Juice in the middle of the Sahara.

So you enjoyed the movie then left when it was finished? Great story!

;)

The list seems heavly weighted towards recent stinkers. I can honestly say I've avoided seeing all of them on the list so far, although I do plan to see Bloodrayne once it hits DVD.

I wonder how many of these are on here simply because MST3K used them. Could that many people have seen the movie on its own, and then voted on IMDB?

MKII wasn't terrible. It wasn't great, but it wasn't that bad.

Slayer2005 03-13-06 06:46 AM

I don't know if I'd feel the same if I saw it today, but I remember thinking MKII was a steaming pile of crap (and I'm not even close to as harsh as most internet guys). I had high expectations for it being a fan of the original, but the sequel made so many mistakes and was just terrible to me at the time. I was so disappointed. One of the worst sequels ever. Perhaps it's more watchable on TV as time has passed and as I've gotten over my disappointment in the film, but I only saw it once in the theaters.

Mortal Kombat: Annihilation is probably worse than anyone remembers it to be. I tried sitting through it again recently and found it a chore to sit through. Just so very wrong on so many levels.

While I agree with you, I do think the cinematography was halfway decent; some of the scenes were pretty well done. It was mainly the awful, awful dialog and the terrible acting that made it suck so much.

Alien From L.A.

The squeaky-voiced hotness of Kathy Ireland has long made this a cult fave of mine...

None of the following movies are good, mind you, but I have a certain fondness for them.

From Justin to Kelly - Kind of odd to see a spring break movie with no nooditity
Police Academy: Mission to Moscow - All PA movies rock.
Jaws: The Revenge - As I always say, IV is a million times better than III.
Ringmaster - Jaime Pressly. All that needs to be said.
Police Academy 6: City Under Siege - Yes, they still rock.
The Mangler - Average horror flick, no better or worse than dozens of others I've seen.

roger_d 03-13-06 10:47 AM

I have 2 on that list in my collection.

I can honestly say that I watched Santa Claus vs the Martians when Bob Wilkins was hosting Creature Features (Bay Areans know who I'm talking about). He played all the monster movie greats like Manos: Hands of Fate, The Crawling Hand, etc.

Sven Ghoulie took up the reins many years later and hosted his own monster movie show.

lordwow 03-13-06 01:35 PM

I don't think I like any of these, but I agree that the list is a bit askew. I think Battlefield Earth is much higher than it should be.

DRG 03-13-06 04:59 PM

The current number one, Anus Magillicutty sounds a bit fishy to me. A movie that doesn't appear to be available on any major DVD sites (as far as I can tell it's only available through it's own site, which takes Paypal), yet there are 1600+ user ratings for it proclaiming it the worst? I doubt it's available at many rental stores, so that means over a thousand people ordered an unknown movie from this website only to get on IMDB and give it the lowest possible rating? Sounds like some sort of publicity stunt... have it get listed as the worst movie of all time on IMDB and sell copies to people who like "bad movies".

DRG 03-13-06 05:07 PM

I only own one of those on DVD (The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which is really bad but it was only two bucks and it completed the series :)). I agree with most of the choices, although some seem odd... Annapolis? It wasn't the best movie, sure, but it wasn't that horrible by a long stetch! If anything it was about as average a movie as you can get.

Geofferson 03-13-06 05:23 PM

Both Van Damme and Seagal have 2 entries: Streetfighter, Black Eagle / The Foreigner, Out For a Kill, respectfully.

To answer the question though, I don't think I minded Critters III.

FrankTheTank 03-13-06 05:26 PM

I actually like Get Rich Or Die Tryin'.

DrRingDing 03-13-06 07:29 PM

it amazes how many films from 2002 on are on there, but then again, it's obvious that that is merely symptomatic of when the website first came to prominent use.

I own Street Fighter. Not a great film, but I find it very enjoyable. Raul Julia gives a great campy performance, and Van Damme has such a funny delivery.

Bisonopolis is all that needs to be said.
